Family and ChilD
Targeted Early Intervention
Our Family and Child Worker regularly partners with local organisations to provide programs and interventions that are designed to cater for specific needs surrounding parenting and issues that children may face growing up.
The Family and Child Worker works towards prevention because, as reputable research now suggests, intervening in children’s earlier years has a significantly positive impact on the developmental journey of life.
Programs change regularly throughout the year. Current programs being offered are a Supported Playgroup, a Parenting Program and a Well-Being Program for high school students.
We have a range of other programs that we are working to implement, including: a Respectful Relationships Workshop for Teens; an Anger Management Training program for Teens; a pilates/yoga program for young/single mothers and their bubs; and, a pilates/yoga program for teenagers who are struggling with anxiety and/or depression.
We wish to be responsive to community needs so if there are any programs that you think we should create or facilitate, please email or telephone us. Perhaps you have an idea or program that you would like to work on with us?
